  11. <p>   Customs: Passports are required, but visas are not required
  12. for stays up to 30 days. Inquire at the British Embassy or
  13. nearest consulate for specific requirements.
  14. </p>
  15. <p>   Climate and clothing: Lightweight casual clothing is worn
  16. year round. Cyclone season is January through April.
  17. </p>
  18. <p>   Telecommunications: There are two AM radio stations and
  19. 3,000 telephones. Vanuatu is 11 hours ahead of Greenwich mean
  20. time (12 during daylight savings time).
  21. </p>
  22. <p>   Transportation: Vanuatu has 1,027 kilometers (616 mi.) of
  23. highways and three minor ports (Port Vila, Luganville,
  24. Palikoulo). Visitors sailing to any of the islands must obtain
  25. permission in Port Vila. Flights are scheduled from New
  26. Zealand, Australia, Papua New Guinea, and Singapore. Schedules
  27. fluctuate; check with a travel agent for the most current
  28. flights.
